01Who we are

TaskAir is operated by TaskAir.ai, based in San Francisco, California, USA ("TaskAir", "we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect when you visit taskair.ai or join our waitlist, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

02What we collect

When you join the waitlist

We collect the email address you enter and the plan you pick (Free, Pro or Enterprise). Nothing else is required.

When you browse the site

We use PostHog to understand how the site is used, for example which pages are viewed, which buttons are clicked and whether the waitlist form is submitted. This includes your browser and device type, the page that referred you, and an approximate location (country/city) derived from your IP address.

We also use PostHog session replay, which records how visitors move through the site (page changes, scrolling, clicks and mouse movement) so we can find parts that are confusing. Anything you type into a form, including your email address, is masked and never recorded.

Cookies and local storage

PostHog sets a first-party cookie (named ph_<project key>_posthog, kept for up to 12 months) and a matching entry in your browser's local storage. It holds a random ID so we can tell when the same browser comes back. We also store which version of the homepage headline you saw, so it stays the same on later visits. We don't use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

If you are in the EU/EEA, the UK or Switzerland, we ask before setting these. Until you accept, analytics run without cookies or local storage and can't recognise you across visits. Session replay is off until you accept. We work out your region from your browser's time zone, not your IP address.

Wherever you are, you can decline or change your choice at any time: . Declining deletes the analytics cookie and local storage and stops session replay. We remember your choice in local storage (taskair_consent). You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Hosting

The site is hosted by GitHub Pages. Like most web hosts, GitHub may log technical information such as your IP address to keep the service secure and running.

03How we use it

  • Waitlist email: to tell you when TaskAir is ready for you, send early-access invitations and occasional product updates. Our legal basis is your consent, which you give by submitting the form.
  • Analytics: to improve the site and measure what's working. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in running and improving the site, using minimal data and no advertising profiles. In the EU/EEA, UK and Switzerland, the analytics cookie is only set with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.

04Who we share it with

We use these service providers to run the site. They process data on our behalf, under their own security and privacy commitments:

  • Google (Google Forms and Google Sheets) stores waitlist sign-ups.
  • PostHog provides website analytics (data stored in the United States).
  • GitHub (Microsoft) hosts the website.

We are based in the United States, and your information is stored and processed in the US. If you are in the UK or EEA, this means your data is transferred to the US. Where that happens, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as our providers' Standard Contractual Clauses or Data Privacy Framework certifications.

05How long we keep it

  • Waitlist emails are kept until you ask us to remove them or until we stop running the waitlist, and in any case no longer than 24 months after you sign up without becoming a customer.
  • Analytics data is kept for 12 months.
  • Session recordings are kept for 30 days.

06Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to access, correct, delete or export your information, or object to or restrict how we use it. You can withdraw consent at any time, for example by asking to leave the waitlist. To do any of this, email support@taskair.ai. We will respond within 30 days.

If you are in the UK or EEA and are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can also complain to your local data protection authority, such as the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) in the UK.

07California residents

If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to ask us to delete or correct it, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law. To make a request, email support@taskair.ai.

08Children

TaskAir is a business product and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

09Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we will tell waitlist members by email.
